This -A tool only comes with a 28" rod for 1984 to 1996 Corvettes.

A leaf spring compressor adapter, J33432-88, for use on all 1988 Corvettes.
These adapters may be used on Corvette transverse springs from 1984 - 1988.
This adapter can be used with existing leaf spring compressor, J33432. The new adapter was released due to the wider transverse spring on the 1988 Corvette. 

If you have a 1997 to current you either need to purchase the -B kit(not available) or purchase this -A kit plus the -97 adapter kit(the latter we have not availlabe).
